Semiconductor technology is of immense importance in today's world due to its widespread applications and transformative impact on various aspects of modern life. Almost all the research groups are actively working in the field of semiconductor and related technology in universities and research institutions round the globe. Semiconductor technology is crucial due to its existence in various sectors, such as, it’s the backbone of modern electronics; plays vital role in renewable energy technologies; shows significant impact on medical advancements; act as foundation of modern telecommunications systems & Information Technology; growth of electric vehicles and autonomous driving heavily relies on advancements in semiconductor technology; have vital role in aerospace and defense applications; have revolutionized industrial automation by enabling smart manufacturing, robotics, and process control; IoT, which connects everyday objects to the internet, relies heavily on semiconductor technology; continues to drive innovation and research in various scientific fields, including materials science, quantum computing, nanotechnology, and artificial intelligence; and so on. Overall, semiconductor technology plays an indispensable role in shaping the modern world, driving innovation across diverse industries, and improving the quality of life for people around the globe. As technology advances, the importance of semiconductors is likely to grow even further, influencing new applications and possibilities.
Therefore, an International Conference on Semiconductor Technologies – Materials to Chips is being organized by Amity University Uttar Pradesh, to generate an international forum for exchange of innovative ideas, research, and recent trends in the state-of-art in semiconductor technologies from materials to chip designing, and to explore avenues to collaborate with top experts from various Institutions & Industries. Eminent Scientists, Professors, Students, Industrialists and Technocrats from academia, research organizations, and industries from various parts of the World are going to participate in this event.
Furthermore, Government has shown its major initiative as India Semiconductor Mission, whose aim is to foster the growth of the semiconductor industry in India through the development of a sustainable semiconductor and display ecosystem in India. For same, the government is offering $10 billion in incentives for the development of a sustainable semiconductor and display manufacturing ecosystem in India, to make India a hub for Semiconductor Design, Manufacturing and Technology Development which will help propel the vision of India Semiconductor Mission.
Thus, to give a full exposure and new platform to our young scientists and research, along with face-to-face discussion with top scientists, industrialists, a special session solely dedicated to “Development of R&D Roadmap with Academia, Industries and Ministries in Indian context”, will going to be organized.
We are also looking forward to having good collaborations within various groups, as a consequence of this session. The discussion among the top scientists (from abroad and our country), representatives from our ministry and industries will provide a road map in the area of Semiconductor Technology.
