United Nations Special Political and Decolonization Committee (SPECPOL)

With great pride, we are elated to announce the Second Offline committee at The Amity International Model United Nations Conference 2023 - United Nations General Assembly-IV (SPECPOL). The United Nations General Assembly is one of the United Nations (UN) six essential organs, the only one in which all member nations have equal representation. It is the UN's main deliberative, policy-making, and representational organ. The Special Political and Decolonization Committee (Fourth Committee) considers a wide range of issues, including a cluster of five decolonisation-related agenda items, the effects of atomic radiation, information issues, a comprehensive review of the issue of peacekeeping operations, and a review of special political missions, the United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestinian Refugees in the Near East (UNRWA), Israeli practices, and settlements. Chairperson

Mr. Satrajit Sahani is an MBA graduate, a published poet, and a sports enthusiast. For the last 10 years, he has been participating in MUNs across the country. He is passionate about world politics and literature in equal measure. He sincerely appreciates the fine arts and has a keen interest in writing and travelling. His ultimate belief in achieving and learning is greatly influenced by his MUN experience.

Maaheen Faisal

Ms. Maaheen Faisal is an experienced and seasoned orator who knows the ins and outs of the debate world. She has always been interested in international relations and foreign policies, which helped her secure a position in the Global Youth Forum. She has been actively involved in MUN conferences and debates for over 6 years, having participated in over a hundred discussions both on a national and international level. Ms. Maaheen's goal as a member of the Executive Board is to ensure that every participant leaves as a more qualified thinker, a better debater, and an overall more confident person than they were when they arrived.
