Computer Communication & Networks Lab

This Lab is designed and incorporated to help the students learn to create a wired or wireless network using network simulator. It provides thorough understanding of the advanced concepts of Computer Network through various design experiments. A complete set of hardware for protocols from Layer1to Layer 7 is equipped in this lab. Basically hardware includes:

• 30 Systems (PC) with windows/ Linux platform and 100Mbps Fast Ethernet network interface.
• LAN-T comprising:
• Network Emulation unit (NEU) – 1 .
• Network Interface Unit (NIU) – 3 .
• Experiment software with libraries and source code of available experiments
• Benchmark NetSys-T Comprising:
• NetSys-T RTR-SFE – Router with Serial and Ethernet WAN ports
• NetSys-T RTR-FE – Router with fast Ethernet WAN ports.
• NetSys-T FWL3 – Firewall / Layer 3 switch
• Managed Layer 2 switches
• Unmanaged Layer 2 switches
• Wireless Access Points
• Wireless USB adaptors
