About Us

Amity Institute of Applied Sciences, Amity University Uttar Pradesh is organizing an International symposium on Emerging Trends in Synthesis and Catalysis (ETSC-2023) on April 12-13, 2023.

The prime objective of this symposium is to bring together scientists and researchers in the field of creating novel synthesis strategies and highly efficient heterogeneous/homogeneous catalytic chemical species. It will be a unique opportunity for leading academicians, scientists, researchers and scholars, to exchange their knowledge base and share their experiences and research outcomes on various aspects of green synthesis, reaction designs, catalyst synthesis & performance optimization. Recent advancements in technologies such as microwave irradiation, intense and selective light sources, sophisticated flow chemistry reaction devices have certainly made the synthesis of even most challenging molecules simpler, economical, and quicker. Even the choice of reaction precursors and solvents have seen a dramatic shift towards green chemistry methodologies and easily available bioresources. Catalysts, being one of most important category of chemicals, have also seen tremendous progress in terms of synthesis and applicability. Use of catalysts in industrial chemical synthesis is so extensive that they are involved in the production of almost every material we use in our daily life. Their applications in different dominions of sciences, technologies, and industry – from synthesis of polymer and medicinal molecules to highly efficient solar cells and sensing devices makes them a much sought-after area for research and advancement. Subfields of biocatalysts, photocatalysts, and asymmetric catalysts have seen lots of progress over the past decade.

This two-day event will include plenary sessions, invited talks, poster presentations and flash talks on the most recent innovations, trends, and concerns as well as practical challenges encountered, and solutions adopted in the fields of synthesis and Catalysis. Also covered in this symposium will be recent advances, breakthroughs, and remaining challenges in the field of reaction schemes and novel catalytic materials. It will be an excellent opportunity for comprehensive collection of the newest developments in these highly inter-disciplinary areas.

We look forward to your participation in the same to make the upcoming one a memorable scientific event for various disciplines in science.
