Amity curriculum provides students with an industry-oriented curriculum that encompasses breadth of knowledge and skills necessary to succeed in a highly competitive and rapidly changing world. This includes:
- Carefully designed Semester-Based Programme Structure to nurture curiosity and inspire a love for learning by integrating social and personal framework of values
- A dynamic process of evaluation and appraisal that enables students to think more deeply, imagine more freely, and communicate more clearly includes bi-annual review by the domain specific Expert Committee, the Board of Studies and the Academic Council
- Evaluations are conducted at regular intervals to keep a track of effectiveness of educations policies, feedback on updated curriculum, inputs for improved learning and teaching practices, employability of students, technology advancement, and statutory compliance of various Government / Standard laying agencies.

Amity University follows a Semester System which allows greater interaction between teachers and faculty members, and lets students be better focussed on studies throughout the year. At Amity, one year Course curriculum is broken down into two semesters i.e., 17-18 weeks each creating more meaningful term paper and research assignments.
Internal Evaluation System
It is our constant endeavour to bring about a rise in the quality of education by regular examination and evolution to assess each student’s academic performance and progress.
As per Amity assessment system, 30% weightage is given to continuous/internal assessment. The pre-defined weightages is comprised of Class Test, Viva, Quiz, Case Discussion / Presentation / Analysis, Home Assignment, Project, Seminar, Term Paper, and Attendance among others.
Amity University has upgraded to Grade system where the level of students' academic performance is represented by letter grades on a Ten Point Scale. Amity University follows Absolute Grading as well as Relative Grading depending upon each student’s performance in a specific programme.
Letter grades (A+, A, A-, B+, B, B-, C+, C, F) have points related with them in quantified hierarchy and have qualitative meaning. As per Semester(s) & overall Semester performances of students, Grade Point Average (SGPA) & Cumulative Grade Point Average (CGPA) are evaluated respectively. Minimum SGPA & CGPA is required to pass a semester/promote to the next semester, and qualify for Degree/Diploma.
100% attendance in all the Lectures, Tutorials, Practicals and Seminars is mandatory at Amity University to inspire academic excellence, better disciplines and overall growth of the students. However, in case of eventualities, a moderation of up to a maximum of 25% is granted. Thereby, a student must maintain a minimum attendance of 75% to be able to appear in the examinations.
Continuous updation and innovation of programme curricula is the key to enhance the quality of student learning opportunities and employability. Therefore, Amity University regularly reviews its course curriculum as per the changing needs of the industry. The process of reviewing includes feedback reports on the placements, employability of the Amity alumni, technology advancement, statutory compliances of various bodies etc., by an expert committee which consists of highly experienced leaders from academia and industry. Thereafter, the modified syllabus is shared along with the recommendations to the University Academic Council for approval.
