Farewell function for the final year students of B.Tech. Biotechnology
Amity Institute of Biotechnology hosted farewell function for the passing out batch 2011-15 on 25th March, 2015. “Dasvidaniya” farewell to B. Tech. Biotechnology AIB got a spectacular farewell from their juniors for their onward journey of corporate life or higher studies.
The program was organized by the students of First, Second & Third Year B.Tech, B.Sc. (H), M. Sc. and M.Tech. students of AIB. The program took the graduating batch on a stroll down the memory lane. The function was graced by Lt. Gen. V.K. Sharma, Hon’ble Vice Chancellor, AVSM (Retd.), Prof. (Dr.) R.S. Tomar, Dean (Academics) & Director AIB, Prof. S.P. Bajpai, Dean (Research), Dr. Anil Vashisht, Dean Students’ Welfare, Dr. Anil Shrivastava, Registrar, Mr. Rajesh Jain, Dy. Registrar and all HoIs.
The evening started off with lighting of lamp by the dignitaries. Junior students performed dance and other activities. Third year students spoke short poem for their seniors. Highlights of the evening were ramp walk by seniors. Titles of Mr Farewell and Miss Farewell were given to Mr. Raja Jain and Ms. Kirti Singh resepctively. Truly nostalgic were the movie clips made by the organizing team, knitting together umpteen moments of graduating batch’s memorable four years at AIB. On this occasion Prof. (Dr.) R.S. Tomar, shared his feelings and remembered the days when these students and their parents approached him for admission in 2011. He heart fully thanked the students’ parents for showing their trust in Amity University, Gwalior. Prof. Tomar gave a glimpse of entire journey of senior batch at AIB. Students of fourth year expressed their feelings and memories during their stay at AIB. Vice Chancellor applauded the graduating batch for the all-round performance they had shown over the past four years and how they had helped to improve the quality and get AIB at a benchmark level and wished outgoing students for their bright future. He promised to make further efforts for the placements of this particular batch. The faculty members of AIB, Dr. Raghvendra Kumar Mishra, Dr. Vikas Shrivastava, Dr. Shuchi Kaushik, Dr. Anurag Jyoti and Mrs. Sharmistha Banerjee also expressed their feelings. The Vote of Thanks was proposed by Ms. Jyoti Kumari and Mr. Amit Kumar. The farewell party concluded with DJ party at the university lawn.
