"National PR Day Celebration"

Public Relations has emerged as one of the most significant and ever demanding profession in today’s business world where every organization wants to create a competitive edge in the market. PR Department is one of the most indispensable department of an organization working towards the creation of goodwill and understanding between an organization and its concerned stakeholders thus helping in the creation of a strong corporate image amongst them.

In order to honor the profession and to showcase its role and importance in today’s times, Amity School of Communication organized celebrated the National PR Day on 20thApril’18 in the ASCO Seminar Hall, Block-D from 11.15 a.m. to 1.30 p.m. Prof.(Dr.) Arun Patil, Pro-President, Amity University Rajasthan, graced the moment by taking out some time from his busy schedule to encourage the students and motivate them for their creative endeavor. The event was attended by all the faculties of the department to make it a memorable one. The event included the screening and judging of the shortlisted Corporate Films made by the students of BJMC-IV Sem. The practical Field based Project was assigned to the students by their faculty concerned, Dr. Tanushree Mukherjee, Associate Professor as a part of their course named “Corporate Communication”. The entire effort put up by the student to shoot, edit and come up with a short Corporate Film was highly appreciated by honorable Pro-President Sir as he remarked that although some of them were shot by using smart phones but he praised the students for giving such a professional touch to their films.

The two hour celebration highlighted the sincere efforts of the students who had creatively implemented the knowledge of the theoretical concepts taught in the class in their practical work to demonstrate the significance of Public Relations and Corporate Communication and some of the commonly used tools of the profession. The event was wrapped up by declaration of names of the deserving student’s team, whose pure efforts made them the limelight of the PR day and who were declared as winner and the runner ups by the judges. The event overall appeared to be a worthy day celebrated to motivate the efforts made by the students in the field of PR and Corporation Communication. The spirit envisioned throughout the event by all the organizing student members of B.A.(J&MC) IV Sem & M.A.(J&MC) II Sem was highly credible.
