Amity conducts Management Program for NHPC engineers

The Amity Institute of Training and Development (AITD) is conducting a two- week Basic Management Program for Engineers at the National Hydro- Electric Power Corporation (NHPC) from March 14, 2005. Twenty- Five professionals from NHPC would be undertaking the management program.

The two- week program was inaugurated by Shri Yogendra Prasad, Chairman & Managing Director- NHPC at Hotel View View, Faridabad on March 14, 2005. In his inaugural speech, Shri Prasad stressed on the importance of management programs for his engineers. He said: “For success at any workplace, it is essential that workers understand the importance of human touch. Hence, we thought of this collaboration with Amity for the basic management program”.

Amongst the other dignitaries present on the occasion was Dr. Ashok K. Chauhan, Founder President- Ritnand Balved Education Foundation (RBEF). Dr. Chauhan mentioned: “While performing tasks at our workplace everyday, we rarely utilize our complete potential- but I am sure that after this program, the NHPC employees would maximize their working potential by another 35- 40%”.

Mr. S.K. Garg, Director, Finance- NHPC expressed happiness that his employees were undergoing this program and the right time. “The present market is upbeat with global competitiveness. I am glad that NHPC workers are updating their skills”.

Mr. Vinod Gulati, Executive Director- NHPC informed: “This two- week program was designed after numerous meetings between the Amity faculty and NHPC. We have laid down our requirements from the program and are sure that Amity would do justice to our training needs”.

AITD is also conducting a similar program for Indian Airlines officials in Hyderabad at present.
