International Business Horizon "INBUSH 2005"

The Centre of International Business, Amity Business School (ABS), Noida hosted its 7th International Business Horizon "INBUSH 2005"- a three day (Feb. 22-24, 2005) business summit at the Amity Campus. The summit lays down a platform where captains from companies of repute, bureaucrats and renowned politicians come together and present their views on the changing dynamics of the business environment.

INBUSH was inaugurated by Shri Priya Ranjan Das Munshi, Hon’ble Union Minister for Water Resources. The Guest of Honour for the occasion was Shri Jagdish Tytler, Hon`ble Minister of State for Overseas Indian Affairs.

“By 2020, India would be the most intellectually advanced country in the entire world”, said Mr. Tytler. He further stated that today America, Canada, Britain, France, Germany & Japan produce a combined intellectual force of 800,000 people whereas India alone produces around 200 million extra intellectual forces than all these six countries together. Mr. Tytler also reiterated the pertinence of studying International Business in contemporary times.

Shri Priya Ranjan Das Munshi stated: “Business summits of this genre bring the management institutions of our nation in prominent lime light and then success follows suit”. Mr. C.P. Jain, Chairman & MD- NTPC, is patronizing INBUSH 2005. In his brief address, Mr. Jain categorically elicited the code of conduct for an ideal business school.

The inaugural session was followed by a plenary session on "A Vision for Emerging Economies" with special focus on Asian & CIS Countries. The session was presided over by Mr. J. Frank Mermoud- U.S. Dept. of State’s special representative for Commercial and Business Affairs and Mr. Joseph H. Bogosian, Deputy Assistant Secretary for Manufacturing- U.S. Dept. of Commerce. The session chairperson was Mr. S.N. Shukla, Chief Commissioner of Income Tax (Central). Representatives from the embassy of Iraq, Indonesia, Republic of Uzbekistan, embassy of Kazakhisan & SAARC were amongst the other speakers at this session.

Dr. Ashok K. Chauhan, Founder President- Ritnand Balved Education Foundation (RBEF), Mr. Atul Chauhan, President- RBEF and Dr. Gurinder Singh- Deputy DG- Centre of International Business, ABS while delivering their keynote addresses extended gratitude to the doyens of the industry who added fervor to INBUSH with their benign presence.

A ghazal evening by Shri Ghulam Ali laid the ambience for a perfect end to the first day at INBUSH 2005. The dusk settled with an unmistakable aura of Ghulam Ali luring the overwhelmed audience with his soul stirring ghazals. Over 3000 people came in to listen to the Ghazal Maestro who flew in especially from Pakistan for this mega- event.

The valedictory function was presided over by Shri. Yoganand Shastri, Hon’ble Minister of Health, Family & Social Welfare. While addressing the gathering, Shri. Yoganand Shastri congratulated Center of International Business, Amity Business School Noida over the gleaming success of INBUSH 2005. He further elicited out the role which the Management Institutions play, to shape the destiny of the nation. Speaking about the Indian Economy which is on a high once again Shri. Shastri reiterated that the onus of taking the Indian Economy to new heights lie in the hands of the young blood.

The Chief Guest for the valedictory session was Mr. Jai Pal Reddy, Hon’ble Union Minister of Information and Broadcasting & Culture. Delivering his key note address Mr. Reddy said, that with India already making headlines in the world, events like this help in accentuating the knowledge of the Managers in the making. He further stated that, very soon India will be able to record a double digit GDP Growth rate, if the youth will be trained in a near perfectionist manner as this.
