Global Inter-faith Meet on Prevention and Control of HIV/AIDS
Major countrywide initiative for prevention and control of HIV/AIDS was launched in the Global Inter-faith Meet on Prevention and Control of HIV/AIDS, organized by Amity Humanity Foundation (AHF) and National Aids Control Organisation (NACO) at Amity Campus, Noida.
Shri. Amar Singh, Member of Parliament, Chief Guest, for the programme, indicated that common problems affecting the whole humanity cutting across age, sex, religion has to be tackled with the common goal and on a mission mode. He applauded the initiative taken by the Amity Humanity Foundation and NACO.
In his Presidential Address, Shri. Oscar Fernandes, Union Minister for Statistics and Programme Implementation conveyed his happiness in the organization of such a major initiative on the World AIDS day for creating the much needed awareness, appreciation and application modes among all concerned to deal with the menacingly growing problems of HIV AIDS.
Her Excellency Chief, Mrs. Stella Obasanjo, the first lady of Nigeria graced the occasion and in her Key Note Address said that the HIV/AIDS epidemic is rapidly gathering momentum and is threatening to erupt in most countries.
