Seminar on Introduction to Networking and Cyber Security
The speaker explained about the need of learning about networking and cyber security, with the help of real life examples and current condition of the market. He explained why people hesitate to choose this field, and what this field can offer to a student in his/her career. He explained the concept of hacking and how it is done with an example in which he performed a cyber attack to his friend’s phone in the recent month which was confirmed by his friend. He made us aware of how can we not get trapped in such malicious activities and save ourselves from a fraud.
The objective of the event was
• To aware people about the exciting opportunities in networking.
• To explain about how any system gets vulnerable and can get hacked.
• To explain what not to do on the internet, so that we don’t end up being a victim to a fraud.
• To make students aware about the roles and future scope of cyber security.
