Military Training Camp at 38th ITBP

A group of students from Amity Business School, Amity University, Chhattisgarh, recently attended atwo-day training session at 38 Indo Tibetan Border Police. Titled ‘Team Building and Leadership’ the ABS students learnt about the importance of discipline and integrity by observing strict routine and lifestyle in the Unit of Defence Forces. 

The students learnt about Border Police’s guarding duties in border areas via a video on ITBP on the first day of this camp. The video highlighted guarding duties done in areas spanning Karakoram Pass in Ladakh to Jachep La in Arunachal Pradesh covering more than 3000 km of Indo-China Border and manning Border Outposts on High altitudes in the Western, Middle and Eastern sectors of the Indo-China Border. Trainers also shared about the importance of discipline and its influence on an individual’s life followed by a motivational lecture. The students’ cohort also attended sessions on Yoga, Physical Training, Sports and Karate.

Next day, students got exposed to Guerilla Warfare Techniques and mechanisms adopted by soldiersto survive extreme war conditions. There was a weapon demonstration towards the end of second day of the session wherein the students were introduced to the firearms used by ITBP in adverse situations.

It was a great learning for the young minds, particularly in terms of discipline, commitment, leadership and team work.
