Summer Internship Programme on Indigenous Psychology

49 participants from AIBAS AUM have attended 7 days’ workshop from 6th June 2018 to 12th June 2018 organized by the University, Dev Sanskriti Vishwavidyalya, Haridwar to learn about the indigenous psychological methods and philosophy also in practical form. The stay, seminars, practical sessions were conducted at University itself. 

Workshop began with the introduction to AWGP & DSVV followed by Yoga practical, Naad Yoga meditation and Yagya ceremony, which helped the participants to understand the concept of Indian psychology and its contribution towards well-being and development.

Yagya Ceremony 

Yagyas (other name yajna, yagna) are performed to create positive effects and avoid unwanted effects in the different areas of life of individuals and nations and to have the best possible nature support. Yagnas/ yajnas are performed through the recitation of sound or vedic mantras to reach certain of result. The benefits of the yagya are good health, wealth, happiness and prosperity.

Yoga Practice 

Yoga Practice helped the participants to learn about various Asanas according to disorders and diseases. The practice of the Naad Yoga meditation made tremendous expansion of the mind, enabling the practitioner to experience the presence of multi-dimensional forces within each person’s being. The practice of this meditation provided a sense of being at one with many vibrations.  

Seminars & various lectures were conducted on topics like Ayurveda and Mental health, Mind VS Mann, Holistic mental health care, Yogic Psychology, Pragya Yoga, Human Excellence by distinguished faculty members and Pro VC Sir of Dev Sanskriti Vishwavidyalaya, which helped them to deeply understand the indigenous psychology.
