Staff Development Programme
A staff development program was organized by M.Sc Nursing students of Amity Nursing College of Amity University Gurugram on 19th March, 2018 covering topic on “CARDIAC DRUGS” at Paras Hospital, Gurgaon with the aim to provide adequate knowledge on cardiac drugs so that nurses ensure safe and effective patient care.
Briefing about the event Dr Pranati Barua, HOI, Amity Nursing College said that 50 staff nurses of CCU, CTVS, Cath Lab participated in staff development program. The topic was choosen based on the need and the requirement of the staff nurses as over the period of time there are many emerging drugs which are available for the care of the cardiac patients. Session was quite interactive with the experience sharing of various drugs which they have used during their duty hours. The knowledge of the staff nurses handouts were also given to them which they could utilise for their future references whenever required. There was a short test conducted to evaluate the effectiveness of SDP.
