Technology-Based Entrepreneurship Development Programme
Technology Based Entrepreneurship Development Programme was organized from 1st February to 15th March, 2018 by Amity School of Engineering & Technology for its engineering students to educate them about the Technical and Management aspects of entrepreneurship. The Program was supported by Department of Science & Technology, Government of India.
Maj Gen V K Narang introduced about the program during inaugural session. He had briefed that TEDP was a structured training programme of 6-weeks duration designed to motivate and develop entrepreneurs in specific products/technologies/processes developed by CSIR labs, R&D institutions, universities etc. The programme primarily focused on training and development need of S&T entrepreneurs in a specific technology area (for example, Leather, Plastic, Electronics & Communication, Fragrance & Flavour, Instrumentation, Sports Goods, Bio-technology, IT Computer Hardware, Food Processing, Bio-medical Equipment, Glass & Ceramics, Jute Products, Sustainable Building Materials, Herbs & Medical Plants Processing, etc.).
During the training session topics like Charms & Concept of Entrepreneurship, Entrepreneurs Competencies, Theories of Entrepreneurship, Barriers to Entrepreneurship, Sketching Dreams of your Venture, Human Resource Management, Time Management, Leadership Styles, Statistical Approach, Financial Assistance & Schemes for MSME, Essential Economic & Financial Terms, Incentives and Subsidies, Export and Imports, Financial Institutions, Marketing Management- Product, Promotion, Branding, Channel Distribution, Understanding the Accounting, Working Capital, Strategic Management, Legal Formalities, Project Formulation, Production Planning & Control, Inventory Management and Quality Management. TEDP got concluded with Industrial visit on 16th Feb 2018 at Minda Furukawa Electric Pvt Ltd (MFE). MFE is a Joint Venture between the Spark Minda, Ashok Minda Group of India and Furukawa Electric of Japan.
