Amity University Madhya Pradesh organized Amity Youth Festival 2K18: CHROMA on 12th February, 2018 to 13th February, 2018

Amity University Madhya Pradesh organized Amity Youth Fest 2K18. Amity Youth Fest is an annual gathering of students from Amity University Madhya Pradesh and other universities & colleges of India. From professional shows to amateur bands, from Classical dance to Choreography, from competitive events to informal events, the festival has it all with 2400 participating students. Events such as MUN, Fashion Show and Snooker, Motorbike stunt show by KTM and EDM Night were the serious events of CHROMA this year.

Inaugural Session: 12 February 2018

The programme started with the registration of participants. The inaugural session started with the reception of Chief Guest Hon’ble Vice Chancellor Lt Gen V K Sharma, AVSM (Retd.), Pro-Vice Chancellor Prof. (Dr.) M. P. Kaushik. Thereafter, lamp lighting done by Chief Guest Hon’ble Vice Chancellor Lt Gen V K Sharma, AVSM (Retd.), Pro-Vice Chancellor Prof. (Dr.) M. P. Kaushik, Registrar HoI’s & HoDs of all the departments within the AUMP were present at the inaugural event.

Thereafter, Hon'ble Vice Chancellor AUMP Lt Gen VK Sharma, AVSM (Retd.) delivered the opening remarks and enlightened the participants with the significance of youth fest and co-curricular activities.  He further highlighted that this is to make a platform for the students to showcase their talent in different streams. He also pointed the objective of the Youth Fest which is to bring together the students from diverse fields, to promote innovative ideas and to facilitate inter-disciplinary exchange of ideas and information by encouraging team work spirit within the students volunteer.

The numbers of registrations were 2400 for all the events. The below mentioned were the events of the fest organized by the different institutes:

Street Soccer, Gully Cricket, The Kitchen Challenge, Need For Speed, Fifa, Counter Strike, Ludo, Ball Pool, Snooker, Rangeela, The Investigator’s Paradise, The Mind Buster Series, Roadies, Bee Witched, Spin A Tale, Nrityanjali, Nache-De-Ne-Sare, Beat The Street, Swaranjali, Tal-Mel, Rap-It-Fire, Kisme Kitna Hai Dam (War Of Bands), Vogue (Fashion Show), Kathakaar, Model United Nations (Mun), Artistogram, The Fortune Hunters, Samvaad, Dumpster, Good Morning Amitian’s, Director’s Cut, Muzikally, The Ad Mad Show, Selfie Le Re Re, Pratibimb, Cosplay, Dress Me Up, Saathi Hath Badhana, Mind Games, Just A Minute, Deal No Deal, Anant Drishti, Pehchaan (Personality Exploration), The Creative Scissors, Nirmaan, The Creator’s Premises.

Some of these events were conducted in two days, whereas some of them finished on the same day. The students participants and the participants from different other institutes participated actively in the brainstorming activities. The zeal and enthusiasm continued on second day also. Some of the events that made the Amity Campus come alive with fun were counter strike, cooking that too fire-less, dress me up, street play (nukkad natak), singing and the most expected KTM stunt show.

Valedictory Function: 13 February 2018

The two day event CHROMA ended with the Valedictory Ceremony which began with the welcome of Chief Guest Hon’ble Vice Chancellor Lt Gen V K Sharma, AVSM (Retd.), Pro-Vice Chancellor Prof. (Dr.) M. P. Kaushik. In his concluding remarks, he cited the support and valuable work done by the entire team of Chroma. He denoted that passion and commitment to make our university on top is visible among students, dosed with sense of responsibility within. Hon’ble Pro-Vice Chancellor Prof. (Dr.) M. P. Kaushik cheered to students by saying that Kudos to all the wonderful efforts the students are putting into developing young talent for this great university.

At the end of the AYF-2K18 prizes up to  Two Lakh (75 Thousand cash) and appreciation certificates were distributed to the participants of the Amity Youth Fest by the Hon’ble Vice Chancellor, Pro Vice Chancellor and HoIs of AUMP. The Dean, Registrar, Director (Administration), Heads of Schools, faculty members, staff members and students were present on the occasion. The vote of thanks was proposed by the Mr. Abhay Bhadoria and Ms. Rashi Rohira, student co-ordinators of the AYF. The event concluded with a DJ Night that allowed the coordinators and participants to relax and rejoice.

Approximately twenty five hundred students registered for AYF out of which 700 from different colleges and Schools like G.R.M.C., Jiwaji University, M.I.T.S., VIT Bhopal, IHM College, ITM University, Prestige college of Management and schools like Greenwood, DPS, LAHS participated in the events.
