Amity School of Engineering & Technology, Amity University Madhya Pradesh, Organizes Workshop on “Robotics” on 16th - 18th January, 2018

Amity School of Engineering & Technology, Amity University Madhya Pradesh organized a Workshop on Robotics from January 16th to 18th, 2018. The workshop was organized to develop innovative thinking in the young minds in the field of robotics and to encourage them to create new robotic products so that they can become the robotic investors/scientists of tomorrow. With increasing urbanization, the role of technology has increased in every corner of life. Therefore, this workshop provided an exposure to the students in the field of robotics through an in-depth practical knowledge.

Mr. Sakyasingha Mahapatra, MD & CEO of SakRobotix graced the occasion with his presence and delivered talks during the workshop. He laid a foundation for the students to understand the advancements in robot technologies.

The programme started with the registrations of participants. The inaugural session started with auspicious lamp lighting by Chief Guest Lt Gen V K Sharma, AVSM (Retd.), Hon’ble Vice Chancellor AUMP, Programme Chairpersons Mr. Sakyasingha Mahapatra, MD & CEO of SakRobotix, Pro-Vice Chancellor Prof. (Dr.) M.P. Kaushik and Maj. Gen (Dr) S C Jain, VSM** (Retd.), Director ASET, AUMP. This was followed by Saraswati Vandana. Guests from the SakRobotix were felicitated and introduced to audience. Dean Research Prof. (Dr.) S. P. Bajpai, Dean Academics Prof. (Dr.) R. S. Tomar, Registrar Shri Rajesh Jain, Deans, HoIs, HoDs, faculty members of Amity University and participants were present on the occasion.

To commence the proceeding, Dr. Moon Banerjee, Coordinator delivered the opening remarks and enlightened the participants with the importance of robotics in real life engineering applications.

This was followed by the address of Mr. Sakyasingha Mahapatra, MD & CEO of SakRobotix to the participants on the role of robots in engineering.

Post tea break, hands on practical sessions were organized by the guests on how to make robots for various applications.

The three day workshop ended with the Valedictory Ceremony which began with the welcome of Chief Guest Lt Gen V K Sharma, AVSM (Retd.), Hon’ble Vice Chancellor AUMP and other guests from SakRobotix.

The Vote of thanks was proposed by Mr. Nasir Khan, officiating HoD, ME Department, ASET, AUMP, Gwalior. In his address he thanked on behalf of Amity School of Engineering & Technology, the Chief Guest of the day and Director ASET, Deans, Registrar, HoIs, HoDs, faculty members and the supporting staff of AUMP, Gwalior, participants and students who attended this workshop, members of all committees, last but not the least, members from the print and electronic media.
