The entire programme was divided into two different technical sessions. At the onset, Prof. Nayak delivered a speech on the history of Indian Press and its objectivity in different aspects. Citing various examples, Shiv Dubey stressed on the objectivity of the journalism to be maintained. While advising the budding journalists of Amity School of Communication Shiv Dubey repeatedly asked them to read books, magazines, journals extensively to enrich themselves with proper facts and figures. Referring to recent malpractices to gain cheap TRP and readership benefits, he criticized the role of a section of journalists as well who are depriving the mass from getting the real essence of journalism.
