Toppers of Amity Talent Search Examinations Win Laptops and Desktops
The prize distribution ceremony for the 54 awardees of
Amity Talent Search Examinations (ATSE) organized by
Amity Institute for Competitive Examinations (AICE) was held at Amity University Campus, Noida. Amity Talent Search Examinations (ATSE) aims to search and recognize such talents who could help change the face of India in the coming years. The first Amity Talent Search Examinations (ATSE) was held on November 23, 2006 in which over 5000 students from 80 prestigious schools of Delhi and NCR participated including DPS (R.K. Puram, Vasant Vihar, Dwarka, Noida), Don Bosco, Bal Bharti School, Army Public School, Cambridge School, Gyan Bharti, Bhatnagar International, Mother International School and Amity to name a few. The tests were conducted in Maths and Science subjects for students of class V to X and Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics and Biology for students of class XI and XII.
Dr. (Mrs.) Amita Chauhan, Chairperson, Amity Institute for Competitive Examinations (AICE) while giving away the prizes remarked, “The aim of Amity Talent Search Examination is to develop, amongst students, interest in Science & Mathematics subjects, leading to development of scientific approach to the problems which they will face in future and also to develop the aptitude for the competitive examinations which the students may face in the higher classes”.
Dr. Ashok K. Chauhan, Founder President, Ritnand Balved Education Foundation (RBEF) shared his views and said, “Amity provides educational opportunities ranging from the requirement of school goers to that of budding professionals in diverse fields. Dr. Chauhan said that it was a moment of great pride for Amity to organize Amity Talent Search Examinations (ATSE) which will help students, to excel and aspire to be the Nobel Laureates for the country. Success in competitive exams is the product of well organized and planned mind and is a result of many things going together heading in right direction. Addressing the students he said, “Amity realizes and applauds the dreams of each student and would help in all possible ways to achieve those dreams.”
Briefing on the objective of the Amity Talent Search Examinations (ATSE)
Mrs. Meenakshi Rawal, Assistant Director, Amity Institute for Competitive Examinations (AICE) said, “ATSE & AICE has organized workshops for training students aiming for Olympiads both National and International. First of such kind of workshop was held for Mathematics in the month of May, 2006 in which distinguished faculty from SASTRA, Deemed University, Kumbokanaum, trained the students for ten days. The second Olympiad workshop in collaboration with Homi Bhabha Centre for Science Education (HBCSE) was held in the month of September, 2006 for Science and Mathematics in which over 100 students from different Schools of Delhi, NCR areas students participated”.
This year ATSE has touched another milestone by bringing together 80 schools on common platform and hunt the future scientists and meritorious students. Announcing the results, she said
Nikhil Goyal student of Amity International School, Noida and topper of class X was awarded with Laptop while Jatin Batra student of Cambridge School, Srinivas Puri of class XI (PCM), Syed Daud Ali student of Amity International School, Saket of class XI (PCB) and Tanvi Saxena student of Amity International School, Noida of class XI (PCMB) were awarded with Desktops. Apart from these awardees, 17 gold medals, 18 silver medals and 19 bronze medals were conferred to the toppers from Class V-Class XII.
