Class IV employees of Amity celebrates Sports Day in Amity Sec- 125 Campus

Class IV employees of Amity participated in a Sports event organized, exclusively, for them and their families by the management of Amity University at Amity Campus, Sector- 125 Noida with zeal and fervour. The event was designed keeping in mind the diligence and dexterity with which Class IV employees are serving Amity family and its members.

Amity, known for its believe in its human resources, adheres to putting in incessant efforts in order to create a sense of belonging even in class IV employees. The event was declared open by Mr. Atul Chauhan, President, Ritnand Balved Education Foundation (RBEF) and Mrs. Pooja Chauhan.

Different games were devised for men and women. Sports event for men included Kabaddi, Volleyball, Tug of War, 50 mtrs. Race (above 35 years) and 100 mtrs. Race (below 35 years) and those for women included Lemon & Spoon Race, Musical Chair, and Needle & Thread Race.

The four hour event saw about 130 enthusiastic participants giving a tuff competition to their rivals. The ladies also presented a colorful and exuberant dance programme leaving the members of management and audience gathered completely enthralled.

Congratulating the winners and giving away the prizes, Dr. Ashok K. Chauhan, Founder President, Ritnand Balved Education Foundation (RBEF) said that it’s really heartening to see the sportsman spirit evinced by the participants. He asserted that more of such events should be organized for class IV employees to bolster up their mind and body. Keeping in mind their strenuous work profile, they should be adequately provided with a vent for rejuvenation. “Agility (physical as well as mental), killing instinct, pro- active thinking and persistence needed for excelling in any sports are essential requisites for excelling in life also”, summed up Dr. Chauhan.

In 50 mtrs. Race (above 35 years), the first prize went to Mr. Devendra, second to Mr. Hansraj and third to Mr. Awadesh. In 100 Mtrs Race (Below 35), Mr. Harender got the first prize, Mr. Rahul and Mr. Manoj Kumar got the second and the third prize respectively. In Kabaddi, the team of sweepers was declared winner over electricians who were declared runners- up. In Tug of War, the team of Peons had a sweeping victory over the Housekeepers. In Lemon –Spoon Race, first prize was conferred on Ms. Manju Yadav, second prize on Ms. Muni Devi and third prize on Ms. Manju. Ms. Rekha got the first prize, Ms. Ranjana and Ms. Kusum got the second prize and the third prize respectively in Needle – Thread Race. In Musical Chair, the first prize went to Ms. Mamta, second to Ms. Kusum and third to Ms. Manju

Many distinguished guests shared the joy and happiness of these participants included Mr. Manoj Singh-IAS, Rear Admiral Ravi C. Kochhar- Sr. VP, RBEF, Lt. Gen P.D. Bhargava- DG, AITTM (Amity Institute of Telecom Technology & Management) & Ex. Sr. Vice President- RBEF, Ms. Kunti Malik- Director Shooting Club & Dr. G.P. Gautam- Addl. Dir., ASPESS (Amity School of Physical Education and Sports Science).
