Annual Global HR Summit Inaugurated at Amity Business School

Amity Business School, Amity University organized an Annual Global HR Summit – 2006 on the theme “Global Corporate Excellence through Competitive Edge Makers” which was inaugurated today at Amity Campus, Noida.

Two day Annual Global HR Summit – 2006 was aimed at identifying and demonstrating the potential of good HRM practices, particularly in the sphere of talent management with reference to acquisition, performance and career management. This meet is aimed towards interacting with the HR Personnel of leading organizations. Amity truly believes that the contribution of HR Department, in making any organization a gleaming success, is second to none. Thus, Global HR Summit is a platform where impeccable HR practitioners step forward and shape up a tête-à-tête with the managers in the making.

Dr. Balvinder Shukla, Director General, Amity Business School while delivering the welcome address cited several success stories, where HRD had brought about a positive metamorphosis in their respective organizations. She said “The greater employee involvement can only be achieved through a carefully managed process that strives for participation by integrating the individual with the organization to achieve high productivity and competitive advantage. This process involves restructuring the work so that it is challenging, interesting, and motivating as possible. Employees at all levels should be given power to influence decision-making, provided information about the organization’s operations and performance, and trained so that they can operate with a proficient understanding of the business.”

The Inaugural Ceremony was presided over by Mr. Manoj Chugh, President, EMC Data Storage Systems (India) and Guest of Honour of the occasion. In a brief address, Mr. Chugh categorically elicited out the causes for which the HR Department stands tall in any and every organization. He emphasized that HR Departments enjoy paramount prominence in organizations in contemporary times. On this occasion book on “Management Case Studies” was also released.

Dr. Ashok K. Chauhan, Founder President, Ritnand Balved Education Foundation (RBEF) said that “HR specialists shape up the destiny of the organization, because they are the ones who manage “Men”, the most complex and diverse resource in any organization.
