Amity Polo Cup; Tournament played for nurturing underpriviledged girld children under Amitasha project

The finals of the Amity Polo Cup was closely contested between Cavalry (Red) and Cavalry (Green) and the trophy was captured by Cavalry (Red). Cavalry (Red) beat Cavalry (Green) by 11 goals to 4. The match started with great excitement and suspense with spectators keeping their fingers crossed. The main players of Cavalry (Red) comprised of Mr. Kamran Ahmed, His Highness Lt. Tinkoo Ismail Ibrahim, Mr. Martin Ravina and Capt. Vishal Chauhan. Amity Polo Cup Swarovski Crystal Trophy was presented by Dr. Ashok K. Chauhan, Founder President, Ritnand Balved Education Foundation (Amity) and CEO AKC Group of Companies to the winners who beamed with joy while lifting the trophy. The award for the Best Polo Player was given to His Highness Lt. Tinkoo Ismail Ibrahim and The Best Polo Pony was Tola.

Grand Finale of Amity Polo Cup was witnessed by H.E. Jorge Heine, Ambassdor of Chile, H.E. Naureddine Bardal Daidji, Ambassdor of Algeria, Ms. Robin Diallo, First Secretary, US Embassy, Ms. Larry Ellen Schwartz, Counsellor, US Embassy, Mr. Shahnawaz Hussain, Member of Parliament, Ms. Nafisa Ali, Social Activist, Ms. Sushma Seth, Actress.

Mr. V. Shiv Kumar, Country Manager, Swarovski, Mr. Stwart Daybrough, General Manager, Nestle Polo, Mr. Himmat Singh, Marketing Manager, Nestle were also present at the ceremony.

The day started with the exhibition match played between HRH Group of Hotels and Krauter, a company who has pioneered in herbal baby healthcare products, showcasing the skills and experience in horsemanship, sportsmanship and team work. The exhibition match was won by HRH Group of Hotels. HRH Group of Hotels beat Krauter by 4 goals to 1. The ball for the finals of Amity Polo Cup was rolled by Dr. Ashok K. Chauhan, Founder President, Ritnand Balved Education Foundation.

Speaking on the occasion Dr. Ashok K. Chauhan, Founder President, Ritnand Balved Education Foundation said, “The talent showcased by the people in Amity Polo Cup was exemplary. Sportsmanship and teamwork – the qualities required to excel in sports are the same as required to succeed in life. We shall be organizing more and more such events so that are we are able to support at least 10,000 girls by the end of this year”.

Thereafter the finals started amongst the elite crowd of Delhi including, celebrities, sportsmen, media personalities, politicians and who’s who of Delhi supporting ‘Amitasha’, a project under Amity Humanity Foundation (AHF), an NGO engaged in the upliftment of the downtrodden and shouldering the social responsibility towards the underprivileged class.

Speaking on the occasion Mr. Atul Chauhan, President, Ritnand Balved Education Foundation (RBEF) said, “Amity Polo Cup has been taken up by Amity for a good cause to help the underprivileged girl children. The Amity Polo Cup will enhance Amitasha, a project under the Amity Humanity Foundation (AHF) which initiates the upliftment of the underprivileged Girl Child by way of providing free education, free books, free meals and healthcare to them. This event is another step forward towards raising funds to help these children realize their dreams, and to increase the awareness about how easy it is to help them”.
