Amity witnessed enriching demonstrations by the physically challenged by the renowned Manav Seva Sannidhi

Education at Amity profoundly imbibes the knowledge of values and philosophy of life which sensitizes each Amitian to love his fellow-men specially the physically challenged. Under the sagacious guidance of Dr. (Mrs.) Amita Chauhan, Chairperson, Amity International Schools, Amity believes in infusing the golden chain of fellow feeling in each young mind.

It was indeed a moment of pride and privilege for Amity to witness enriching demonstrations by the physically challenged at the premises of Amity International School, Saket by the renowned Manav Seva Sannidhi, an initiative of Ms. Abhilasha Singhvi, Founder and Executive Trustee which aims to instill hope in the life of the physically challenged. The enthusiastic and awesome demonstrations by the beneficiaries put to record, the endeavour of the Sannidhi coupled with their positivity which empowered each of them to perform the daily chores as dexterously as normal people. Some of the demonstrations included running, riding a bicycle and even dancing. Undeniably the strength of mind always triumphed vanquishing all physical challenges. Manav Seva Sannidhi is an NGO engaged in an endeavor of human togetherness for welfare of the disabled who have lost their limb as a result of injury, disease, congenital defects or accidents and also of the patients who have been afflicted by poliomyelitis.

Enunciating the vital role towards a lofty goal and lauding the endeavour of Sannidhi, Dr.(Mrs.) Amita Chauhan, Chairperson, Amity International Schools in her address remarked, “Manav Seva Sannidhi represents the quintessence of our humanitarian heritage rooted in compassion, karuna and equanimity, samata. It is the biggest service to mankind." It is easy to provide limbs and charities but Manav Seva Sannidhi works beyond these objectives and compassion, sharing and affection are blessings for these persons. To inspire and to exhort is a significant form of service; to feel, emote and empathize is even better; to experience and sense is still higher form of service, but to do something, to live it, feel it and create it, is the highest and most creditable and laudatory form of serving and achieving. Words just cannot describe the wonderful feelings and experience the work Abhilasha Ji and her volunteers are doing” said, overwhelmed Mrs. Chauhan.

Welcoming these persons with extra ordinary skills, Ms. Bharati Sharma, Principal, Amity International School, Saket said, “The educative clippings and interaction with the confident beneficiaries of the Sannidhi have touched the hearts of all. Indeed, the demonstrations bear a testimony that physical challenge is only a mind-set which can be transcended with optimism and constancy to purpose. It was a stupendous learning experience for Amitians who believe in the credo of loving and serving fellow-men as a natural affinity”.
