Amity School of Business won the overall Management Trophy at the National Management Festival, Bangalore

Amity School of Business, NOIDA won the overall Management Trophy as the best team at Christ College, Bangalore. The event was held from September 13-14 September 2007. This national management festival at Bangalore is very prestigious and Amity School of Business was also the defending champion.

The competition was against 22 teams from all over the country which includes Symbiosis, Pune, Loyolla, Chennai, St. Josephs Bangalore etc.

Each team had 8 members. Manan Modi, student of 3rd year was the captain of ASB team. The events were in – Strategy, Best manager, Business Quiz, Finance (Stocks), Business Plan, Crisis Management. The eight members ASB team comprised of – Neha Mehra (Best Manager), Pallavi Khandelwal (Strategy), Nirvan Mehra & Saraswat Mohapatra (Quiz), Lakshya Sethia & Manan Modi (Finance), Rishabh Agarwal (Marketing), Rahul Chauhan (Crisis Management). Ms. Puja Agarwal, Lecturer-Finance accompanied the team.

After winning the prestigious trophy Prof. Alka Munjal, Director Amity School of Business said that Our students have been participating in such management Festivals since 2003, the level of seriousness and richness of content is very high in the colleges in the south. Every time students surpass our expectations they win against UG and PG teams of management. In the process they develop immense confidence in themselves and in management as a subject. All students of ASB love to get selected and go for such events where their knowledge and passion is tested. It is not a 2 day event but years of practise and hardwork that translates into such awards. Giving details of previous achivements Dr. Munjal said that on August 28-30 our team was at Mount Carmel, Bangalore where they won the HR game and the Finance game. Again on 2nd September a team of 10 students won the overall trophy, the Business plan and the Blue Ocean Strategy at IBA, Greater Noida their nearest competitor was IMT, Ghaziabad.
