Amity Business School organised its Third Annual Management Festival “Endeavour ‘07”

Amity Business School (ABS), one of the pioneer institutes in the field of research and teaching in the area of management organised its three day Third Annual Management Festival & Research Conference “ Endeavour’ 07” on the theme “ Business Tomorrow and Beyond- Challenges and Opportunities” at Amity Business School, Sector-44 Noida.

Welcoming the audience, Dr. Balvinder Shukla- Director, Amity Business School, Amity University apprised the audience with a galore of events and competitions which would take place in the three day knowledge and entertainment extravaganza including business quiz competition, debate, business plan competition, case study and cultural evenings. Dwelling on the concept of “Endeavour” she said “This Management Festival is a student driven approach acting as an awesome confluence of the experienced corporate virtuosos and the greenhorns. It commemorates and recognizes the capricious nature of the corporate world today and also aims to find cogent solutions to those ever changing dynamics of industry.”

Inaugurating the management fest, the Chief Guest Shri Subodh Kant Sahai- Minister of State, Ministry of Food Processing thanked Amity for providing an interactive platform where the management students from different institutes can interact with corporate honchos. Emphasizing the importance of learning he said that in our country when a politician enters Parliament sometimes he is even unaware of the role he has to perform or even for which ministry he will be working with. The clarion call is to train and teach the politicians so that they can serve the country better and more efficiently. He further suggested Amity to start a course in Food Technology because this sector can provide mammoth amount of job opportunities to the people. “The tremendous amount of potential of food sector cannot be underestimated or overlooked”, said Mr. Kant

Complementing the aptness of the theme, Guest of Honor Shri. T. Sankralingam, Chairman & Managing Director, National Thermal Power Corporation said that the theme “Business for Tomorrow & Beyond: Opportunities & Challenges” is very relevant and timely since economy is growing at a very fast pace and so do the different sectors of economy like banking, telecommunication, agriculture. Sharing “Success Mantras” with the students he said that in today’s competitive and fast paced world students need to think big; be ruthlessly competitive and uncompromisingly ethical; focused and clear about objective and aspire, inspire and perspire to make a mark in any field.

Dr. Ashok K. Chauhan, Founder President, Ritnand Balved Education Foundation in his address extended gratitude to the doyens of the industry, who added to the fervor of ENDEAVOUR 2007 by their benign presence. He further outlined that growth of every economy depends on industrial parameter and as future managers students should inculcate a desire to excel in the field and industry where they work in future with a feeling to serve the nation He further opined that the country is having a very large percentage of young population, therefore the strength of the youth has to be channelised. He called upon students to dream big and follow them with unwavering dedication and devotion
