Introduction

 

The current technology revolution has made the world a smaller place. With technology getting integrated into the fabric of every individual’s life, the world is a more connected and digitized place. The collision of Information Technology and data has led to one of the most phenomenal challenge faced by human species – Colossal amount of information being produced everyday. The amount of information generated already surpasses the available storage. This along with diverse challenges like –security, protection, management, etc have led the IT industry into an unknown territory.

While the world grapples for the right solution to the challenge, Amity University invites you to CONFLUENCE – The Next Generation Information Technology Summit focuses on strategies for “Information Storage, Security and Compliance for Business Excellence”. This summit shall witness leaders from various IT Organizations and Businesses discuss, deliberate and debate the various challenges posed by colossal amount of information being created everyday.

Objectives

ICONFLUENCE aims at bringing the leaders from IT Industry and diverse businesses to a common platform and accomplish the following:

  1. Exposing the audience to various approaches to the resolution of information management, security and compliance challenges in various business organizations
  2. Giving participants a peek review of the emerging technologies and their impact on the business
  3. Understanding the vision of leaders of IT and there perspective of grappling with the Information Management and Security challenges.
  4. Promoting and developing business competencies & entrepreneurship skills in the participants.

 

Coverage

Information Storage – Issues, Challenges and Technological Advancements – A journey through the most important challenges faced by the IT Industry and the possible resolutions. The technology tracks at the conference have been divided into the following  tracks:

 

Cloud Computing

It is an emerging approach to IT Infrastructure which allows users to use resources on on-demand model. It helps in bringing down the infrastructure costs significantly, thereby helping business derive more value from their IT investments. Different IT organizations have different interpretations and approach towards cloud computing models. This track shall deliver a rich experience to the audience on industry-wide approach towards cloud computing.

Business Intelligence and Business Analytics

These have become core tools to guide business decisions, develop strategies and create new ways of doing business. Business analytics makes extensive use of data, statistical and quantitative analysis ,explanatory and predictive modeling. Business intelligence is querying , reporting ,OLAP and “alerts”. Business intelligence can answer whats behind problem and business analytics will answer why is there a problem.


Information Security & Management

Information assets are the most critical assets for  any organization today. It’s a business and at times legal & compliance requirement for organizations to retain the business information generated. This track shall cover topics like Information Asset Management, Network Security & Cryptography, Security Protocol, and Security Policies & Strategies. Speakers shall also focus how these can be a key differentiator for a successful organization

Web Security & Compliance

With a focus on Web security and compliance this track shall delve deeper into issues like Cyber Threat & Web Security, Security Norms and Laws, Software Security, Risk Management, and Digital Rights Management. Speakers shall discuss various strategies and securtity measures adopted as the data moves within and outside the organization network. Issues like Cyber Threat & Web Security, various Security Norms and Laws, Software Security and Risk Management, and Digital Rights Management would be discussed. More than often, companies need to have their information on the internet to enable demographically separated offices to connect.
