Event Management as a profession entered Indian life in a big way in the last decade. Though the concept is Western basically, it has wider application and relevance to Indian context especially in the wake of globalization. A number of UN days such as International Women's day, Earth's day, etc are being celebrated as events in a big way espousing a social cause and affirmative action. The concept of Event Management has extended far beyond transforming even traditional festivals into well orchestrated events.
Aim
The course offers the aspiring students, who wish to become future event managers of Socio, economic and cultural programs, a wider perspective of how to organize an event commemorating the birthdays of national heroes, poets, scholars, politicians, actors and industrialists. The program makes it inclusive of budgetary constraints, risk management and logistics.
