The rapid and significant development in the Telecommunication Technologies combined with equally rapidly advancing Computer Technologies, exponential growth in the use of Information Technology by every human and Business activity and ever-increasing popularity of Internet, has posed new challenges and demands on the new generation of engineers. Further, the process of globalization and liberalization has brought in stiff competition in every segment of Telecom industry making new demands on individuals for modern management knowledge and skills.
B. Tech. (Electronics & Telecommunication) degree course at AITTM is designed to provide individuals with knowledge and skills to meet these demands and challenges.

An Engineering Programme With A Difference

Telecom Industry has truly become an inter-disciplinary field, combining electronics, Telecommunications, computers and management sciences. It’s a real challenge for Engineering Institutions all over the world to provide the right knowledge and skills.
At AITTM, we have recognized these needs and designed a curriculum in association with highly experienced professionals and academicians keeping in mind the ever-changing needs of the Telecom industry.

• The course design is highly focused to scientific, engineering and technology application skills required by the Telecom industry of today.
  
• The curriculum has been redesigned to literally save two semesters by omitting certain subjects mainly from first two semesters of normal engineering courses, which are not required by Telecom Engineers.


• The final year consists of a 3 months Industry project to enhance the practical skills of the students.


• Apart from the 3 months of study project with telecom industry, the course provides added new telecom technologies which are not taught any where else in this country.


• The final year projects have been planned for study (technology options, network architecture / configuration, management practices, telecom equipment by various vendors, telecom softwares, network planning, network logistics etc.) of the wireless, fixed line and optical networks currently deployed on the ground by various service providers (cellular, WLL, MTNL fixed line, long haul and metropolitan optical networks etc.)

This is a unique engineering course in the country or perhaps in the world; most relevant to the need of the day with appreciative value addition.
