Course Objective
The objective of the course is to provide to the students with a strong base of essential scientific, technical, management and communication skills with a holistic perspective to prepare them as suitable candidates for sunrise technologies required by the growing telecom industry. They will be made particularly suitable for: -
a. Telecom service providers and equipment vendors,
b. Telecom software industry and
c. Electronic & telecom equipment manufacturing companies
In addition, the final year consists of a 12 week industry project work covering every segment of the telecom industry and is based on telecom networks currently employed by various service providers - cellular, WLL, fixed line, long haul, metropolitan optical networks, broadband services etc. The students will be guided by the faculty guide and the study will consist of diverse aspects such as technology options, network architecture & configuration, management practices, telecom equipment vendors, telecom software, network planning, network logistics etc. This will provide adequate hands on training and knowledge to our students and thus enhance their employability and ready acceptance by the telecom industry.
