Amity Institute for Sanskrit Studies and Research is a premier institute offering UG, PG and PhD programs in Sanskrit Studies. The programs aim to provide an in-depth study of a broad spectrum of Sanskrit language and literature, including Vedic and post-Vedic texts. Students are initiated to acquire and understand the various forms of poetry, prose, grammar and epigraphy. A wide range of elective courses are offered to ensure the multidimensional development of the personality of the students. to imbibe the call of modern education; The focus is on developing the skills of explanation, translation, creative writing, understanding of ancient scripts and hymns as well as psalms. Computational Linguistics and Artificial Intelligence courses are available in the field of Sanskrit Studies to meet the requirements of Education 4.0. AISSR provides unique blend of courses which are not only competitive to the established institutions such as JNU, DU, JMI etc. but also improvised to ensure employability and professional competence of the inmates. The PG program in Sanskrit has duel specialization against the traditional single specialism which adds to the prospects of out students immensely. All courses include Professional Skills Development Activities (PSDA) which ensure acquirement of practical aspects of the course. Other than, courses in Sanskrit, AISSR in accordance to the AUUP pattern, provides several value addition courses which include Foreign Language, English Competency, Behavioural Skills and Professional Skills.
