The guidance and counselling cell has qualified counsellors, who follow a comprehensive program to develop students’ capacity to become self-directed and independent learners, imbued with the necessary skills to make the right decisions. Besides, specialised counselling is provided to students with special needs.
The students are encouraged to open up to the counsellor about various issues that affects them. Workshops on stress management, time management, ill effects of bullying, etc are also conducted on a regular basis to inculcate life
skills in them.
Counsellors help the students in their transition from primary school to secondary, and senior secondary thereafter. Orientation programs are organised wherein parents are introduced
to specific academic requirements. Aptitude Tests are conducted to facilitate the process of subject selection for Class XI students.
The counselling cell conducts workshops to apprise students about various career options. Under the recently started ‘Anubhav Series’, experts are invited to address the students about a particular career option.
The counsellor also holds one-to-one discussions with students and parents to comprehend the child’s interests, aptitude and capabilities.
