The school recently organized Citation Ceremony for its outgoing batch of Class XII. The day began with a havan, to seek the auspicious blessings of the Almighty. The festivities commenced with Ganesh Vandana and lighting of the lamp. School principal, Mrs. Arti Chopra addressed the students motivating them to do well in life. The dances, patriotic songs and fusion dances saw the audience moved, entertained, enthralled and thrilled. The Head Girl and Head Boy gave speeches, reliving the nostalgic memories, expressing their gratitude to their teachers and the school. Chairperson, Dr. (Mrs.) Amita Chauhan, graced the occasion and wished success to the students in all walks of life. The teachers blessed them by showering petals and posing for photographs with the students.

The school held its Investiture ceremony for the academic session 2016-17. The outgoing Head Boy and Head Girl bid a sentimental adieu to the school in their respective speeches. The investiture of the junior council was followed by the senior council. The newly appointed Council Members marched in with heads held high, to the beautiful beats of the school band, and were felicitated with their sashes on this great occasion. Chairperson Dr. ( Mrs.) Amita Chauhan, expressed her fervent belief in every Amitian and congratulated the newly appointed student council.
The new Head Boy, Abhineet Shrivastav and Head Girl, Vaishali Tikoo promised a definite change for a better tomorrow. A constitution was released by the Chairperson, Dr. Amita Chauhan ,Col. Ahluwalia and the School Principal, Mrs. Arti Chopra.

Amity under the guidance of the Chairperson Dr. (Mrs.)AmitaChauhan has always strived to instill values of patriotism and love for nation in its students. To further the cause students of class VI presented a spectacular show "A Kaleidoscope of Unity in Diversity - NutanPrayas, SamanvitVikas". Throughthe presentation students depicted the rich culture and heritage of Indiawhich makes it different from any other country in the world i.e. Unity in Diversity .The event was inaugurated with the lamp lighting along with the shloka chanting. Schoolprincipal, Ms. Arti Chopra welcomed the parents. Chairperson, Dr(Mrs) Amita Chauhan, expressed her fervent belief in every Amitian and laid emphasis on strengthening the values and patriotism in the youth. She appreciated the efforts made by students and teachers and encouraged them to excel in life.Through their act and dances students depicted their concern about various social issues like religious intolerance, secularism etc.Students mesmerized the audience with the instrumental presentation and Group song based on Sarvdharm Sadbhawna. Young amitians also showcased their talent through aerobics, taekwondo and Yoga presentation.Parents were happy to see their children performing on the stage with confidence and enthusiasm. After the grand finale the show concluded with the vote of thanks followed by the school song and the national anthem.

Spardha’15- Sports Day
 
On 5th Dec’2015, school hosted its annual sports meet Spardha. Young Amitians show-cased and participated with unflagging enthusiasm. Dr. P B Sharma Vice Chancellor Amity University, was the chief Guest. Mr. Padamjeet Sehrawat former Ranji Player and Gen P D Bhargav also graced the occasion. Our principal Ms. Arti Chopra, presented the report on school achievements in various sports activities and applauded the achievers. She congratulated all the students for their hard work and exemplary performances.The march past by Alaknanda, Mandakini, Bhagirathi and Pawani house was quite a spectacle to watch. The event showcased some powerful and meaningful presentations of Yoga, Aerobics and Taekwondo by students of Class V. There were many fun and flat races, where budding athletes from classes I-XI displayed their athletic skills . Parents also participated in the couple marathon race with enthusiasm. A tug of war was conducted among teachers and mother parents too. The chief guests and the school principal felicitated the winners of various track events.

Amithought- Annual Function (Senior School)
 
Amity International School, Sector 46, Gurgaon, celebrated its Annual Day "Amithought- Ek Sakaratmak Soch”on 17th October, 2015.The event got underway with a performance by the school orchestra. The Annual Function commenced with euphonious orchestra 'Amisur' a unique blend of Indian and Western music played by 350 students. The stage was lit up by colorful dances, which overwhelmed the parents. The School Principal, Mrs. Arti Chopra presented the Annual report highlighting the achievements of the students in scholastic and non- scholastic fields. The performance celebrating the achievements of the students was also presented on the occasion. The spectacular musical ballet highlighted aspects such as positivity and inspiration. The performance got a thumbs-up from the audience. The ballet also threw a light on the need to develop self- belief among students and to realize one’s potential. The aim of the ballet was to encourage students and to find the greatest treasures of all that is self belief.

A Kaleidoscope of Indian Culture- Class Presentation –Class I

Amity under the guidance of the Chairperson of Amity Group of Schools and RBEF, Dr.(Mrs) Amita Chauhan has always strived to instill values of patriotism and love for nation in its students. Students of class I presented a spectacular show in the class presentation. The theme of the presentation was –“A Kaleidoscope of Indian Culture”. Through the presentation students depicted the rich culture and heritage of different Indian states. The celebrations commenced by lighting of the auspicious lamp accompanied by the chanting of shlokas. School principal, Ms. Arti Chopra welcomed the parents. Students presented mélange of activities which created an atmosphere of national pride. Through their act and dances students presented their class room learning about different states their food, dance, music and heritage. They represented many states right from Kashmir to down south Kerala, east to west from West Bengal to Gujarat. Parents were happy to see their little ones performing on the stage with confidence and enthusiasm. After the grand finale the show concluded with the vote of thanks followed by the school song and the national anthem.

The opportunity was extended by the Chairperson, Amity Group of Schools and RBEF, Dr. (Mrs). AmitaChauhan to nurture the talent of each Amitian under the leadership of founder President Dr. Ashok K. Chauhan. School principal, Mrs. Arti Chopra welcomed the guests and the parents for the presentation. The event began with the lighting of the lamp of knowledge. 100% participation by the students gave opportunity to each child to showcase their talent and creativity. It helped to boost their confidence and enhance their speaking skills, delivery of dialogues, thus ensuring all round development of each child. School principal, Mrs. Arti Chopra welcomed the guests and the parents for the presentation. The guests and the parents inaugurated the event by lighting of the lamp of knowledge. 100% participation by the students gave opportunity to each child to showcase their talent and creativity. It helped to boost their confidence and enhance their speaking skills, delivery of dialogues, thus ensuring all round development of each child. The audience was also sensitized about the issues presented by the students. The event was initiated with a musical Instrumental presentation by class VIII students.It taught the children the lesson of cooperation and team work. Winter Carnival

The much awaited Winter Rendezvous finally unfolded at Amity International School, Sector 46, Gurgaon in the school grounds. The winter carnival was a grand event that deluged the young and old alike in the festive spirit. The School Principal, Mrs. Arti Chopra inaugurated the carnival. The day witnessed thousands of visitors as they found themselves lost in a maze of rides like Columbus, giant wheel and merry go round, games and food stalls. Adventure buffs had their fill at games' stalls.It was a fun filled day for the staff members and the students who showcased remarkable enthusiasm in the successful accomplishment of this mega event .Everybody enjoyed a spark of festive feel and cheer spread on this day . Mrs. Arti Chopra congratulated her team on the success of this carnival .She also expressed her gratitude to the Chairperson, Dr. (Mrs) Amita Chauhan, for providing the students with such opportunities which enhance organizational skills , team building and Biz smartness among the students.
 
     
     
Donors Turn up to Give The Gift of Life

The interact club of Amity International School, Sector 46, Gurgaon along with the Alumni Association of the school organised a blood donation camp in the school under the guidance of their school principal Arti Chopra. The camp was organised in line with the school motto “Service Before Self” & the vision of the Dr. (Mrs.) Amita Chauhan ,Chairperson Amity Group of Schools & RBEF, to reach out to the needy in times of emergencies. Large scale arrangements were made within the school premises to facilitate donors and ensure proper storage and preservation of the donated blood. According to the information presented on the occasion, only 50 percent of the country's blood requirement is fulfilled through such blood donation camps. Hence, there is a need to create awareness amongst our youth for active participation in such a noble cause.

Amity believes in consistent efforts for the holistic development of a child’s personality . Class Presentation on The Theme "SADBHAVANA"

Keeping up with the vision of the Chairperson, Dr.( Mrs.) Amita Chauhan of equipping the students with a sound knowledge of rich culture of our country ,Students of Amity International School, Sector 46, Gurgaon participated in a class presentation held in the school premises. School principal, Mrs. Arti Chopra welcomed the parents for the presentation and inaugurated the event with lighting of the lamp of knowledge. In her welcome address, she appraised the gathering of the activity that ensured cent percent participation of the students of class 7 which helped in all round development of the students. The keen learners of class VII presented a colorful vibrant show ‘SADBHAVANA ‘ depicting the various values they learn in school i.e. respecting elders, sensitivity towards Child Labour. The children presented yoga , dances, songs and street play showcasing their speaking skills. Parents were enthralled to see their wards performing with enthusiasm and confidence on the stage. Tribal dance of Jharkhand was the main attraction of the event and heritage display also got an overwhelming response from the parents as it contained the different art pieces of Jharkhand.

The ceremonial lamp was lit by the Chairperson, the esteemed guests, parentsand school Principal ,Ms. Arti Chopra .The ceremony began with the welcoming of the esteemed guests, parents and their wards with a welcome song. Homecoming of Aditi Arya - Winner of FBB Miss India 2015

AIS Gur 46 organised a felicitation ceremony to honour Aditi Arya, winner of FBB Miss India Pageant 2015. Aditi, an alumnus of Amity International School, received a warm welcome by the students, who played the school band, while she planted a sapling in her name. School principal, Arti Chopra gave a floral welcome to Aditi and congratulated her for the astounding success. The event commenced with the lighting of ceremonial lamp by Aditi along with Amitasha students. Dr (Mrs) Amita Chauhan, Chairperson, Amity Group of Schools & RBEF felicitated Aditi and applauded her achievement. In her address, Dr (Mrs) Amita Chauhan stated that Aditi’s success would set an example for everyone, that with strong dedication, determination and devotion one can achieve everything in life. She also gave blessings to Aditi for her upcoming Miss World competition. The event saw an electrifying performance named Abhivyakti- a fusion dance by Amitians. Class II students narrated a poem for Aditi and gifted her with a floral tiara. The event culminated with school song followed by National anthem.

The school investiture ceremony was a solemn occasion where the young students were prepared to don the mantle of leadership and discharge the responsibilities entrusted upon them. The school fosters leadership and co-ordination skills in portraying the child, not as a mere student but as a partner and contributes towards the development of the school. The newly appointed council members were adorned with sashes and handed over flags by Sports Advisor Col. Ahluwalia and Principal Ms. Arti Chopra. The student cabinet members were administered the Oath of Office to keep up the pride of the school and act as role models for other students to emulate. Anirudh Kamath and Samaira Bakshi were sworn in as the school head boy and head girl respectively.

Under the aegis of Spic Macay, the school hosted a classical Bharatnatyam dance recital, presented as lecture cum demonstration by artist MalavikaSarukkai, an internationally acclaimed Bharatnatyam dancer-choreographer. The programme, held on the occasion of Ganesh Chaturthi, began with the auspicious lamp-lighting ceremony, followed by a vocal music presentation. The program commenced with the welcoming the Chief Guests Dr (Mrs.) Amita Chauhan, Chairperson, Amity Group of Schools, and TPS Chauhan, Advisor, Amity Schools. The subject toppers and 90 percent holders of Class X and XII CBSE exams were honoured by Chairperson. The teachers were also acknowledged by the school management, students and parents for their commendable efforts. The mood of the day was further enhanced by the presentation of a dance recital highlighting the importance of teachers in the lives of students.
 
     
     
Summer Camp Verano

At the onset of summer vacations in 2014, the school served a refreshing platter of summer camp activities to help students beat the heat. Camp Verano, as the name suggests, is a Spanish derivative of the term 'dry summer'. The two-week camp promised infinite fun and excitement. The camp was set in the calm and serene campus of the school and provided all kinds of indoor and outdoor activities for the students to refresh themselves. On the Grand Finale, the parents were invited to witness the confluence of creativity and confidence of the children through an exhibition, theatre performance, rock band show, yoga presentation, etc.
