Amity International School, Sec-46, Gurgaon recently organized the Amity Olympiad 2016. Sixteen schools from Gurgaon, Delhi and Faridabad participated in this event. Cash prizes and certificates were awarded to the first three toppers of each class for math and Science. Modern DPS, Faridabad, bagged the overall Rollers Trophy and Suncity School, Gurgaon, got the runners up trophy. Amity 43, Gurgaon bagged the championship trophy for Commerce Olympiad (Class 11) and Amity 46 (Class 12).

The outgoing Head boy and Head Girl bid a sentimental adieu to the school in their respective speeches. The investiture of the junior council was followed by the senior council. The newly appointed council members marched in with heads held high, to the beautiful beats of the school band and were felicitated with sashes on the occasion. This was followed by the entire council taking oath to discharge their duties with sincerity and fulfil everyone’s expectations. Students of Amity International School, Gurgaon won accolades at the 15th Interschool Ramanujan Competition, which was held at Amity International School, Noida. The competition was held for students of classes IV to XII. Bhuvan Kapur of class V won gold medal in problem solving and Suyash Sisodia won bronze medal. Deepankar Bansal and Achintya Gupta of class VII bagged gold medals in problem solving. Aryan Gupta of class VIII bagged gold and Abhimanu Sinha won silver in Problem solving. Under the benevolent guidance of chairperson of Amity Group of Schools and RBEF, Dr Amita Chauhan, Amity International School, Sec-46 Gurgaon hosted an Inter School Robotics Championship titled-‘ROBOTRONICS-ROBOGRIDIOM’. The chief guest of the event was Dr.Pulak M Pandey, associate professor, Mechanical Engineering Department, IIT Delhi. Teams from schools all over Gurgaon and NCR participated in the event. In the juniors category, Amity International School, Sector 46, Gurgaon and Manav Rachna International School, Gurgaon bagged the first prize. In senior category Amity International School, Sec 46 Gurgaon bagged the first and the second prize and AIS Noida bagged the third prize. AIS Pushp Vihar won the trophy in the open category. Amity International School, Sector 46, Gurgaon, celebrated its Annual Day “Amithought- Ek Sakaratmak Soch”on 17th October, 2015.The event got underway with a performance by the school orchestra. The Annual Function commenced with euphonious orchestra 'Amisur' a unique blend of Indian and Western music played by 350 students. The stage was lit up by colorful dances, which overwhelmed the parents. The School Principal, Mrs. Arti Chopra presented the Annual report highlighting the achievements of the students in scholastic and non- scholastic fields. The performance celebrating the achievements of the students was also presented on the occasion. The spectacular musical ballet highlighted aspects such as positivity and inspiration. The performance got a thumbs-up from the audience. The ballet also threw a light on the need to develop self- belief among students and to realize one’s potential. The aim of the ballet was to encourage students and to find the greatest treasures of all that is self belief.

Four students of class XI from Amity International School, Sec 46, Gurgaon won laurels at Dhananjay Mohan Symposium- an Inter school competition hosted by Amity International School, Noida. The theme of the event was “Teck to Check Wreck-Technology for a better tomorrow”. The competition aimed to foster the spirit of research and creativity among the participants. Prisha Singh and Satwick Dwivedi presented their ideas on the topic “Bionics” while Aditya Gupta and Baldip Singh displayed their project by showcasing their creative thinking. Amity International School, under the aiges of Amity Educational Resource centre (AERC), organized the 6th Amity International Model United nation (AIMUN) conference at Amity University. The conference with its theme “thoughts transform the World” echoed the belief of Dr. Amita Chauhan, Chairperson of Amity group of schools. Over 500 students from nine countries and over 30 schools from NCR, UP, Rajasthan, MP, Punjab, Maharashtra and Gujarat took part in the conference. In all, six teams participated in the tournament. The guests of honour for the event were OP Taneja, Vice president of Haryana Cricket Association and Mr. Pramod, secretary of cricket (NCR).Teams of AIS 46 played with passion and determination as a unit and was crowned as the champions. Under-14 team scored 166 runs and defeated Rotary Public School. Raj Angad Bawa was adjudged the highest run scorer and most promising player of the tournament. Under 12 team of AIS 46 defeated Suncity School, Gurgaon by 10 Wickets. Tejas Sahni bagged the best batsman of the tournament trophy and Arnav Sharma received award for being the highest wicket taker. The name of the play was Pehla Sabak, as education is the primary lesson for every child. It was followed by a band performance. On the 5th Dec‟ 2015, Amity International School, Sec-46 hosted its annual sports meet. Young Amitians show-cased and participated with unflagging enthusiasm. Dr. P B Sharma Vice Chancellor Amity University, was the chief Guest, Mr. Padamjeet Sehrawat former Ranji Player and Gen P D Bhargav also graced the occasion. Our principal Ms. Arti Chopra, presented the report on school achievements in various sports activities and applauded the achievers. She congratulated all the students for their hard work and exemplary performances. The march past by Alaknanda, Mandakini, Bhagirathi and Pawani house was quite a spectacle to watch. The event showcased some powerful and meaningful presentations such as Yoga presentation, Aerobics presentation and Taekwondo presentation by students of Class V. There were many fun races and flat races, where budding athletes from classes I-XI displayed their athletic skills. Parents also participated in the couple marathon race with enthusiasm. A tug of war was conducted among teachers and mother parents too. The chief guests and the school principal Mrs. Arti Chopra felicitated the winners of various track events.
