An Inter Amity English Debate Competition was held on the 28 th of November, 2007 in AIS, Gurgaon, Sector-46. The topic for the senior's dabate was spirituality and materialism go hand in hand. Apurva Dey and Akansha Khanna won the best speaker and best interjector award respectively in the senior group.

ACHIEVEMENTS IN THE FIELD OF INTERNATIONAL AFFAIRS 2007-08

 

  1. Exchange with elc International School , Kuala Lumpur , Malaysia - (Mrs. Sushmita Roy) Visit of 7 students and 1 teacher from AIS, Saklet in June 2007 was reciprocated by elc International School KL when they visited us in Dec, 2007.
  2. Exchjange with Joho Hofmiller Gymnasium, Freising , Germany- Visit if 13 students & 1 teacher Mr. Sanjay Sharma was reciprocated by the visit of students accompanied by Ms. Doris Lanzinner from Germany in Oct, 2007.
  3. Exchange with Japan- The Vice Principal of AO)S, Saket Ms. Ritu Mehta & two students of class XI were a part of ‘Jenesys' an exchange programme with Japan under the aegis of CBSE , New Delhi.
  4. A Trip to Egypt- was organized from 23 rd May – 31 st May 2007 & 13 students were a part of it. They were accompanied by Middle school coordinator Ms.Divya Bhatia and history teacher Mr. Sumedh Kapur.
  5. Visit of techers from Eskiolstuna, Sweden as part of animation programme will be further reciprocated through an exchange programme. Teachers from Sweden visited AIS, Saket from 10 th Feb- 16 th Feb 2008.

INTERNATIONAL COMPETITIONS

 

  1. 10 students & their advisor from AIS, Saket were the first team from Delhi to ever be selected for the International Space Settlement Design Competition (ISSDC), which is held at the Gilruth Centre of NASA's Johnson Space Centre in Houston , Texas ( USA ).
