About the course
This course has been designed to provide the students with both theoretical knowledge and practical skills in biochemical engineering, molecular biology, enzymology, database management etc., to keep pace with latest developments and to cater to the needs of industrial biotechnology
Duration of the course: Four years
Eligibility:
Students who have passed
any one of the following, in Science with Biology, with
a minimum of 60% marks for the general category shall be eligible to
apply for admission:
Intermediate Examination conducted by a Board or University established or incorporated by Law.
12 Year product of Central
or State Board under 10 + 2 school
system.Intermediate Examination conducted by a Board
or University established or incorporated by Law.
Any
equivalent thereof.

Higher Studies:
The course provides a strong theoretical and practical foundation to enable the upward mobility of the students through Master’s and Doctoral studies and research either in the same subject (Biotechnology) or allied inter-disciplinary subjects like Microbiology, Biochemistry, Biomedical Sciences, Medical Biochemistry, etc., in recognised universities across the country and abroad.
