About the course
The B.Sc. Biotechnology course has been framed for Degree students with Chemistry and Botany as elective subjects.
Duration of the course: Three years
Eligibility:
Students who have passed
any one of the following, in Science with Biology, with
a minimum of 55% marks for the general category shall be eligible to
apply for admission.
12 Year product of Central
or State Board under 10 + 2 school
system.
Intermediate Examination conducted by a Board
or University established or incorporated by Law.
Any
equivalent thereof.

This professional course opens up avenues for its graduates for self-employment as well as careers in agribusiness, health care, pharmaceuticals and related industries.
Higher Studies:
The course provides a strong theoretical and practical foundation to enable the upward mobility of the students through Master’s and Doctoral studies and research either in the same subject (Biotechnology) or allied inter-disciplinary subjects like Microbiology, Biochemistry, Biomedical Sciences, Medical Biochemistry, etc., in recognised universities across the country and abroad.
